Lewis Barlett Klees Wins Small Business Award
WATSONTOWN, Pa. -- Lewis Barlett Klees, PC, one of central Pennsylvania's leading accounting and business development firms, was named 2007 Small Business of the Year by the Central PA Chamber of Commerce at its annual membership meeting on Feb. 29. The award is presented each year to a firm with fewer than 50 employees that meets several criteria. Nominees are evaluated on staying power, innovation of product or service, response to adversity, chamber involvement and involvement in the community.
"It's good to be recognized by the business community, especially since we work with other businesses to help them grow," said MIke Klees, CPA and partner. "We support clients beyond doing their tax returns. If they grow, we grow. That's why we've branched out with offices in Bloomsburg and Lewisburg."
Neal Lewis, CPA and managing partner, opened the firm in Milton in 1983. This summer, Lewis Barlett Klees will celebrate its 25th year in business. Rich Barlett, CPA, opened the new Lewisburg office in November and Klees manages the Bloomsburg office. The firm offers auditing, accounting, tax, and management advisory services to government, not-for-profit agencies and private businesses, in addition to tax preparation for individuals.
